The project

On her farm in La Concepción, agriculture has always been at the heart of Deylin’s life. From a young age, she has been growing pineapples, avocados, dragon fruit, bananas, limes, and other citrus fruits. Working the land comes naturally to her, a passion she inherited from her parents.

Thanks to a loan from MiCrédito, Deylin was able to scale up her production by purchasing fertilizers and other essential farming supplies to keep her land fertile. Her pineapple cultivation became a great success and now provides year-round employment for five people.

Deylin’s success has improved her own life and that of her daughter. Through her farm, other families in her area can now count on stable jobs and incomes, strengthening the entire community.

Will you invest in entrepreneurial women like Deylin, who help their communities grow?

MiCrédito is a microfinance institution in Nicaragua with a strong social mission. The organization primarily focuses on female entrepreneurs, small-scale farmers, and self-employed individuals in rural areas.

Access to financing remains very limited in Nicaragua, especially for low-income agricultural workers and small business owners. Only a small portion of the population can borrow from formal financial institutions or has access to a savings account. MiCrédito addresses this gap by specifically targeting the most vulnerable groups in society.

Through its accessible financial services, MiCrédito has created meaningful social impact and helped improve the quality of life for many families in Nicaragua.
