Amanat Credit 7

In Kyrgyzstan, women are strongly represented among small and medium-sized entrepreneurs: 68.3% of these entrepreneurs are women. Yet they often have limited access to financing. Amanat Credit makes credit more accessible and encourages entrepreneurship among women.

The project

For many women in Kyrgyzstan, financial exclusion still poses an obstacle to economic independence. Only 18.2% of female small and medium-sized entrepreneurs have a business loan. For many, loans are too expensive or simply unavailable. Without financing, it remains difficult to start a business, grow it and build a stable income.

Amanat Credit breaks through these barriers by giving female entrepreneurs access to financing, even in rural areas where financial services are scarce. More than half of its customers are women, and the organisation is led by a female CEO.

By supporting entrepreneurs, increasing financial knowledge and stimulating sustainable initiatives, Amanat Credit strengthens the position of female entrepreneurs. In this way, the microfinance institution is committed to inclusive financing within small and medium-sized enterprises.
