Fundenuse 2
A bakery of her own. That was the dream of Diana from Jalapa, Nicaragua. With a loan from microfinance institution Fundenuse, she was able to turn that dream into reality. Within a few years, her business has grown into a well-running bakery with a steady stream of orders.

The project
Diana runs her own bakery, Mi Dulce Tentación, in Jalapa, Nicaragua. She had long dreamed of starting her own business, but lacked the financial means to do so. Thanks to a loan from microfinance institution Fundenuse, she was able to take that step. With the financing, she invested in a professional mixer and the necessary ingredients to start baking.
Four years have passed since her first loan. Where she initially sold four cakes per week, demand has now grown to the point where her bakery is operating at full capacity. Diana: “Demand is now so high that I barely have time to buy ingredients to fulfill all the orders. Over these four years, we have acquired a car to deliver orders and a venue where customers can celebrate birthdays and private events.”
