Avanza Sólido 14
With your investment, you support women entrepreneurs in Mexico who are working toward a better future. Thanks to access to credit, women like Albertina can grow their businesses, become more financially independent, and create opportunities for others through work and income.

The project
Meet Albertina, a ceramicist from Mexico who sells handmade products in her own shop. She once sold her creations from a roadside stall. Today, she employs 25 women and offers female artisans work, income, and the opportunity to further develop their talent.
Albertina received a loan from microfinance institution Avanza Sólido, which she used to buy new tools and protective packaging materials for her creations. She expanded her workshop and started making a wider range of products. This investment helps her grow her business and reach more customers.
The impact of this loan goes beyond Albertina’s own business. In her workshop, women from her neighborhood learn how to turn ceramics into a source of income. This creates a ripple effect: one loan contributes to more work, more income, and greater independence in her surroundings.
Avanza Sólido is mainly active in southern Mexico, particularly in regions such as Chiapas. In this region, many families have a low income, and access to basic services such as healthcare and housing is often limited.

Avanza Solido
Impact
Mexico faces significant economic challenges, with approximately 46.2% of the population living below the poverty line.
This situation is particularly severe in rural areas, where poverty rates are even higher. Additionally, a substantial portion of the population lacks access to formal financial services, limiting their economic opportunities.
Avanza Sólido addresses these issues by providing microloans and training to small entrepreneurs who are excluded from traditional banking services. By offering financial education and business management training, they help entrepreneurs stabilize their incomes and reduce poverty. Focusing on vulnerable groups, including women, youth, and indigenous communities, Avanza Sólido directly contributes to improving living standards and strengthening the economic resilience of these populations in Mexico.
