OXUS KG
Imanbek has his hands full: as a farmer, he grows raspberries and raises livestock. He also works as a driver. To strengthen his family business, he received a loan from OXUS Kyrgyzstan, and the investment is already bearing fruit.

The project
Imanbek leads a busy life. He grows raspberries, raises livestock, and also works as a driver. While Imanbek works the land and cares for the livestock, his wife works from home as a seamstress. This allows them to create several sources of income for their family.
With a loan from OXUS Kyrgyzstan, a microfinance institution that focuses on entrepreneurs with limited access to traditional banks, Imanbek invested in a vehicle. This enabled him to grow his business further. He uses the vehicle to transport his harvest, reach customers, and provide transport services, making his work much more efficient.
Thanks to this investment, the family can sell its raspberries more easily, serve more customers, and increase its household income. The investment is therefore bearing fruit, both literally and figuratively.

Impact
Oxus KG is a microfinance institution in Kyrgyzstan, serving a total of more than 11,000 households across five regions. With a strong presence in rural and semi-urban communities — especially in rural areas — the institution reaches clients who often have limited access to traditional banking services. Around two-thirds of clients are based in rural areas and more than half are women.
Through loans for agriculture, small businesses, education, livelihood improvements, and home renovation, Oxus KGS helps families and entrepreneurs strengthen their income and living conditions. Agriculture-related lending represents about one-quarter of the portfolio, while green loans already account for 15.9%, including financing for sustainable housing materials and electric or hybrid vehicles.
The institution also supports women borrowers through financial and digital literacy training, including women with disabilities, reinforcing its role in creating economic opportunities in underserved communities.
