Avanza Sólido 19
Ernista brings color to everyday life in Mexico. Thread by thread, she gives traditional patterns new life in vibrant fabrics. Thanks to a loan from Avanza Sólido, she can turn her craft into a business and earn an income of her own.

The project
For Ernista, weaving is more than just a job — it is an art. Thread by thread, she brings traditional patterns to life in vibrant fabrics. What may look like a beautiful garment to an outsider is, for her, the result of days of precision, skill, and dedication.
Weaving traditional clothing plays an important role in the local economy in southern Mexico. Women like Ernista keep this craft alive, but their work does not always receive the recognition it deserves. Customers see the finished product, but not the time and skill that go into making it. As a result, incomes often remain low.
With a loan from the microfinance institution Avanza Sólido, Ernista can invest in colorful yarn, materials, and stock. This allows her to expand her production and earn a more stable income.
Avanza Sólido primarily supports women, young people, and Indigenous communities in Chiapas, Yucatán, Veracruz, Tabasco, and Campeche, where access to traditional banking is often limited. In addition to financing, the organization provides training in business management and financial skills and runs health initiatives.
Your investment gives entrepreneurs like Ernista the opportunity to develop their craft further and grow it into a sustainable source of income.

Avanza Solido
Impact
Mexico is a country marked by significant economic inequality, with wide disparities in income, access to services, and economic opportunity. These gaps are especially visible in rural areas, where communities often face greater barriers to development and financial inclusion.
Avanza Sólido addresses these issues by providing microloans and training to small entrepreneurs who are excluded from traditional banking services. By offering financial education and business management training, they help entrepreneurs stabilize their incomes and reduce poverty. Focusing on vulnerable groups, including women, youth, and indigenous communities, Avanza Sólido directly contributes to improving living standards and strengthening the economic resilience of these populations in Mexico.
